I am writing curriculum for our new text (Deutsch Aktuell) and use the SmartBoard daily in the classroom. I would be interested in finding anyone interested in directly sharing resources, writing chapter lessons or brainstorming SmartBoard activities. I primarily teach German 2 and 3, and use the DA1 and DA2 texts. Start: 00:34

The Multilingual video project allows teachers to bring their own children to narrate the same video in their own language and for it to be placed on the Internet. The project will interweave, languages and technology to motivate and engage children. Children will be able to view the different language versions of the video and understand the words in different languages. Since it is "that time of year," I think a great way to introduce kids to the concept of collaboration is to share first day of school experiences around the country and around the globe. My first thought was to do Animoto videos, but I am sure there are many other great ways to connect. Ultimately, it would be great to create a web site or wiki with all of our experiences in one place. I would foresee us talking about traditions, fears, hopes, etc. I think staying with the ages of around 7-11 would be best. This could be a really excellent project! Start: 00:00

I am trying to formulate a project for my 11th & 12th grade Dynamic Earth Science students. I would like to have the students journaling about the night sky, what they can see with the naked eye, with binoculars, with a telescope (if they have one). Then compare that to the what others are seeing at different locations around the world. Our website provider is supposed to be adding blogs and wikis to our website tools, so hopefully we can collaborate through that website. I am looking to create a wiki in which people from around the world can enter data about their weather and then students can look at the data and beging to draw conclusions about what impacts weather and how weather moves around the world. My students will be using TI probeware to collect data as part of a year-long project that concludes in the spring during out most active weather times. I am VERY new to this and would like to start getting some feedback about the potential for this project. Any comments, suggestions and collaborators are greatly appreciated. My 10th grade (15-16 years old) physics students do a weekly or bi-weekly research project to answer simple questions about how physics relates to the real world. For the 09-10 school year, I'm interested in finding middle years physical science students with questions about what they're learning. The middle years students would send their questions to my students, who would do the research and explain the results. This could be done by email between teachers or through a wiki or through podcasting. I'm open to possibilities. Start: 18:54

Educomics http://www.educomics.org/ is an European Union Comenius education project under the Life Long Learning Programme. It will show educators how online and offline digital comics can be used in the classroom to enhance learning, engage and motivate students, and use technology in a practical and effective way. The project will create training material for teachers and organise workshops for teachers. Attending teachers will learn how to apply strategies and lesson plans in their schools using digital comics. You can get involved with Educomics during the course of the project, by downloading the Comiclab application that will allow you to make web comic books. We have some first grade classes from the International School of Luxembourg studying houses, habitats, & materials (man-made vs. natural). Our students will be taking pictures of their own houses in Luxembourg and gathering pictures of relatives' homes throughout the world. We would like to share pictures with other elementary school classes from around the world, via online slideshows or photo galleries or snail-mail. The goal of this project is to explore ancient civilizations by concentrating on their mythologies. I would like to do a project between a group of 14-15 year olds from Barcelona, Spain and Somewhere in Canada. These students learn English as a foreign language. My project would consist of a wiki where both classes would enter information about their typical day (What time they wake up, what they eat for breakfast, how they go to school, length of classes and lunch, etc...) We could also share information about their favourite music groups, the clothes they wear, the activities they do on the weekend, etc...
